Vermont to London to Limerick

I started off in a tiny, and I mean TINY, town in Vermont and drove about 4 hours to the big city of Boston, Massachusetts.

After a 6 hour flight to the London Heathrow Airport, I was so tired from all of my travels that my friend, Katie, and I were separated on our way to baggage claim. Don't worry though, we found each other! We also found Katie's driver that would take her to the dorms, but not mine. I soon realized (after searching up and down the line of drivers who were holding up homemade paper signs with travelers' names on them) that there was no one to drive me to the dorms, so I just got a ride with Katie, makes sense right? After getting to the dorms, it was made clear by the tour manager who was there to greet us that I had not been on the list of arrivals for some odd reason, so they had NO IDEA that I was even arriving at 7:30 in the morning. There were also no rooms ready for the 5 of us who had arrived early in the morning, so we adventured around London and fell asleep in a beautiful park.

For our day of sightseeing, we saw pretty much everything you would want to see in London: Big Ben, the London Eye, the Tower of London, a red phone booth, St. Paul's Cathedral, etc.

Traveling to Limerick was probably the most excited I was during this long weekend. We took a short plane ride and were greeted by nice Irish students in BRIGHT yellow shirts. When we got to Plassey Village, I found out that I'm living with seven other American girls that are also here through the AIFS program. Our townhouse is also right in the middle of two other houses filled with students from our study abroad program.

So far I'm loving Limerick and can't wait for more adventures!
